Homeschool families
Jiu-Jitsu can be part of your child's education.
Gracie Barra Riverton accepts Utah Fits All, OpenEd, Harmony, and the Carson Smith Opportunity Scholarship (Children First). If your child is eligible, these programs can help pay for classes.
Looking for a PE option your homeschooler will look forward to? Jiu-Jitsu gives kids and teens structured classes with a coach, a clear curriculum, and friends their own age. It's an environment where healthy habits and discipline become part of the routine. Kids develop balance, coordination, and motor skills, and they burn off energy in a way that feels like play. OpenEd
Who it's for Students enrolled with OpenEd whose learning plan includes PE.
How it works You pay the school, then send your receipts to OpenEd for reimbursement.
Harmony Educational Services
Who it's for Students enrolled through a Harmony partner school who learn at home.
How it works Once your direct payment request is approved, the funds go to the school.

Children First Education Fund
Who it's for Utah K–12 students with a documented disability who homeschool or attend a private school.
How it works Once your direct payment request is approved, the funds go to the school.
How to start
- Book a free class. Make sure your child enjoys it before you use your funds.
- Apply with your program. Send your application or payment request on the program's website.
- Let us know. Send us a screenshot or a quick message. We'll follow up and give your child access to classes.
Each program sets its own eligibility rules and covered expenses, and they can change. The uniform (Gi) is usually not covered. Check the details with your program.

Gracie Barra Riverton members get $20 off an adult unlimited membership. New members also get two free one-on-one instruction sessions.
A hard-training gym that's still built for every level, not just athletes. The 4,900 square foot space has indoor turf, a kids' area, and a mountain view. Their coaches put technique and safety first. They run classes for adults and for kids.

Veterans program
A We Defy Foundation approved training facility.
Not every partnership is about a discount. This one is about getting veterans back to the mat.
We provide combat veterans coping with military connected disabilities a long term means to overcome their challenges through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Gracie Barra Riverton is an approved We Defy training facility. Scholarship students train right alongside everyone else, with the same curriculum and the same coaches. No separate program, no separate room.
Veterans who qualify can get a 12-month Jiu-Jitsu scholarship at an approved academy. If that's you, or someone you know, start with We Defy. Then come talk to us.
